Cara and Brett have been amazing – fun through it all. Now they will be married in 12 days! Where or where does the time go? Perhaps because it is still blazing outside,...  Since summer and thousand degree temperatures just do not seem to want to leave the Valley, we had to reschedule this absolutely understanding family from Saturday in the afternoon (yikes, it was like 108 at 3pm) to Sunday at 7am. We are so glad they were so amenable to such an early start. With the...  Funny how things happen. In the course of reading to my daughters before bed I read Alice in Wonderland. It had been roughly forever since I last heard the story and I didn’t really think I would hear (or see) it again for a while. Imagine my surprise when I get to the Silverleaf country club and see that it has been transformed into Wonderland. All the characters were there. Sharon Martin, the director of catering, not only was responsible for the incredible transformation but she was also the Queen of Hearts. It was a blast. Not to be lost in this tale, the two lovely young ladies for whom the bash was thrown appeared to have an excellent time as did their friends.  Well, we are really getting close now, The Desert Botanical Garden’s: The Garden Wedding is less than a month away, in fact it is only 2 1/2 weeks from now!
