8 tips when hiring a children’s photographer | scottsdale children’s photographer

  1. Decide on the style of photography you are looking for: Are you looking for someone more traditional or someone that is more artistic and captures your lifestyle?
  2. Ask yourself questions about your past experiences: Who has taken your children’s photos before and what did you like or dislike about the session and images? Did you connect with your photographer – did they have a rapport with you and your children? If you have never had photographs taken of your children then write down what your expectations are from your photographer.
  3. Decide on the level of service you are looking for: the portrait studio at the mall, a mom with a camera that moonlights on the weekends or custom documentary photography. Remember: anyone can pick up a camera and say they are a photographer, but very few photographers are artists!
  4. Look at the website: A beautiful updated website is a good indicator of how the photographer feels about their work and customer service. Does their website move you? Does the photographer’s website portray what you are looking for?  By looking at our website, you will have a pretty good feel for who we are and what our vision is.
  5. Meet with the photographer: Meeting in person allows you to touch the work for yourself, view the quality of the finished product.  By coming in to our office, you can see samples from other sessions.  By viewing these items, you will see the consistency of our work, from family to family.  It is very important to make sure that a photographer is not just showing you his greatest hits collection on their website – you want to see that they are able to get more than one good shot from a session!
  6. Ask questions: What should we wear? What should we expect from the session? When will we see the images? How are they presented? Ask anything that comes to mind!  We expect to take amazing pictures of your child(ren) and have lots of fun (did we forget to mention that Keith will probably have as much fun as the kids!)
  7. Why is it worth it? Please consider the photography we produce as an investment – you will be looking at this photographic work of art for some time. Having a professional document your children’s lives is not something you do every day, but it is something that you will cherish as the years pass.
  8. What is our experience going to be like? Here’s what we do: take great pictures  Here’s how we do it: we connect with the children we work with, we have fun (and so do the kids!)!  Here’s what it’s all about: you want great pictures, we guarantee that you will LOVE the finished product! We love what we do and you will see that passion in every single image!  Here’s how it happens: you book your session, we plan the session together (in person or on the phone), we document your wonderful child(ren), we edit the images, we post the images in an online gallery,  we have an ordering session, we deliver amazing images, you become another satisfied customer – and if we don’t deliver – we offer a 100% money back guarantee!!!!

But while there are several similarities between daytime and overnight care, there are some additional things to take into account when looking to hire a nanny or babysitter who will care your child overnight, so you can sleep or be away from home.
