Ok, I know this is supposed to be our wedding blog BUT when Keith gets an award, I find it blogworthy. I mean really, where else can I share?

Campbell Fisher Design – the super talented Phoenix design team behind the advertising campaigns for the Phoenix Suns recently shared the exciting news: their poster design (using Keith’s images of Grant Hill, Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire) was one of Graphis Latest Winners – the Poster Annual 2012.

You can tell I’m the wife because I get excited about this kind of stuff. I love going to Toy Story on Ice and seeing Keith’s images of Suns players hanging HUGE above the ticket windows at the US Airways Arena, or the larger than life size images line the outside of the Arena as you walk in from the garage or attending a Suns game and letting our kids know that “Daddy took those pictures!”

I think it’s exciting! Anyway, I couldn’t help but share!

A few weeks back, just after sunrise on a gorgeous morning here in Scottsdale Keith was at Grayhawk golf course just after day break.  Any one who knows Keith well enough knows full well that him playing a round of golf would not be what brought him to Grayhawk so early in the morning.  Over the years, Keith has tried…and tried. He has even bartered photography with a golf pro to help him conquer that sharp left turn every ball falls victim to on each and every one of his drives. Keith being a golfer is not in the cards, but Keith photographing golfers – now that’s a bit more realistic.

So on that lovely morning, Keith had the pleasure of photographing two professional golfers for Cross Golf apparel. With the sun at its kindest point early in the day and temperatures so pleasingly comfortable, Scott Piercy and Richard Lee met Keith on a green at Grayhawk Golf Club to begin a very enjoyable shoot.

The client: Cross Sportswear.  The job: lifestyle photography for the upcoming Cross Sportswear catalog/website.

Just one more example of why Keith loves his job!

I was photographing a cute little guy that I have been photographing for the last few years and as I was leaving the area I passed by the US Airways Arena only to see this…

It is nice to see my photos getting some sun (pun partially intended). I know that the photos of Steve Nash and Grant Hill are being used on the season calender posters, some others are on display here and others will be on display through out the city soon. I still get a kick out of seeing my work on public display. Go Suns!!!

Hi All,

Here are some out takes from a recent shoot I did with the Phoenix Suns of the NBA. I have to say that the Suns do an outstanding job of picking players with wonderful personalities. To the last man they were as nice and accommodating as can be. Not a prima donna in the bunch. That goes not only for the current crop but also the other players I have worked with in the past.  Take a look and comment if you are inclined. Go Suns!!!

Hi All,

The green in question is recycled (aka gently used and /or pre owned). The dresses below are from Goodwill. It is an idea that never crossed my mind (but then neither did a bunch of other great ideas). I admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the dresses. Why not try there first if your budget is not what you had hoped it would be. You never know, you could stumble upon the perfect dress for a fraction of the cost and have more to spend on your photography.

The images below were out-takes from an ad shoot in the new Wedding Chronicle. The makeup and hair were done by the amazing, Diane Aielo of the Glam Lounge in Scottsdale. Here is a new ad we put together…we would love feedback!

We shoot lots of beautiful and adorable children all year long…but it is that time of year when we have to start thinking about a new face (or faces) for Keith Pitts Kids.  Not to copy the Gap‘s Casting Call…but it’s basically the same idea.  We need the parents of the cutest baby or child(ren) in the greater Phoenix area to submit their favorite photo for a chance to be featured in Keith Pitts Kids 2009 Ad campaign.  We will post all the details in the next week or so…

We have been informed that our shoot on September 2nd and 3rd has been changed…the catalog will be comprised mainly of product shots….therefore no babies needed (this time around)!  Thanks to those of you that responded, we will keep your information in our files!
