Wow, who expects 104 degrees in April?

A really hot, sunny day that did not get in the way of Kristin and Chris having a beautiful Phoenix wedding. Our day started at The Montelucia Resort. The perfect backdrop: a gorgeous resort with a stunning bride set against backdrops with all sorts of views of Camelback Mountain, a great way to get the day started. So glad the bridal party didn’t melt during the formals!

A touching ceremony at Christ Church Lutheran followed by the wedding reception at a private residence in Phoenix. A winning combination of personal touches, details, sentiment and fun. A beautiful wedding day.

The wedding day was orchestrated by the talented Lauren Crump of Victoria Canada Weddings and Events.

Well, I’m not sure exactly what I should be using Pinterest for, but I like it. I like the way the boards look. I like how easy it is to pin something. I like that I can keep track of things that I like. And I like that we can share our images.

For the wedding industry, I can definitely see the benefits. There is something so pretty about looking at inspirational boards about just about anything wedding related, from venues to flowers to hair up-dos, wedding dresses, honeymoon spots and wedding photographers. A wedding planner can feature boards by color, by inspiration, by theme, by bride.  Pinterest is a great way for vendors to showcase their products and it is also a great way for a bride to easily organize all of her wedding ideas in one spot.

I’m not sure I’m addicted yet, but Pinterest seems like useful fun.

I’m not sure how these engagement pictures slipped under the blog radar – but somehow they did.  Better late than never, here are Sarah & Johnny’s engagement pics.   This engagement session turned out great, such a lovely couple, so happy and sooo in love – what more could you ask for?

We were fortunate enough to have been invited by Destiny’s Bride to showcase our newest product offering this weekend (The Live Photo Booth) at their Liancarlo Trunk Show!  What a great opportunity to spend time with excited new brides-to-be, their families and the fantastic crew at Destiny’s Bride!  The brides really enjoyed getting a sneak peek at how their dresses will look in photos on their wedding day!  As wedding photographers, we are not used to seeing the wedding dress until the actual wedding day.  This was enjoyable!

I remember what an emotional day it was for me when I had my mom and sister with me to pick out my wedding dress – it is one of those days that every women who decides to marry (and bring their mini-entourage to the bridal salon) will remember.  My mom cried when she saw me in my dress – if only we had a picture to remember the day!

Congratulations to this very special couple!  A rare day in Phoenix…rain was in the forecast.  Storms were all around…but luckily the weather held out and Kyle and Cassie’s day was great.  With the reception at the Bentley Projects we took advantage of the location and walked around the surrounding neighborhood.
