When we were asked to do The Live Photo Booth at a 5th birthday party – we knew it would be both fun and full of adorable children. This is just a sampling of the great kids from a super cool birthday party at the Kids Zone in the US Airways Arena last week. In case you couldn’t guess, the theme of the party was basketball and the Phoenix Suns.

The Live Photo Booth is a hit at every event. But there is something so adorable about a photo booth at a child’s birthday party. After all, our photo booth originated at a 3rd birthday party many, many years ago. We were invited to a friend’s birthday party – so Keith decided to bring a backdrop, some lights and a camera. He set up a very simple photo booth and the kids just LOVED it. The Live Photo Booth was born.

As  you can probably tell, the pink boa was my theme when choosing pictures for this blog post.

Well another fun evening with The Live Photo Booth. We had the pleasure of working with Lauren of Victoria Canada Weddings and Events at the Montelucia Resort this past Saturday.

The crowd let their hair down when the photo booth was ready to roll. I have to say that this photo booth brings the fun side out in just about everyone. A spontaneous crowd with a really good sense of humor = a good time had by all.

I just love how contagious the booth is. Once that first picture is taken the hours just fly by. One funny group after another. Guests trying to one up each other. Great expressions. Fun memories. One laugh after another.

One guest mentioned to us that we have a really cool job – they were right!

Fun was had by all this past Saturday night. The Live Photo Booth was put to good use by a very fun, very festive wedding at the Wigwam Resort.

I love it when a bride enjoys her own wedding – and this bride had a blast!  As did everyone else in attendance. I think she danced to every single song that the band played. I loved how she would find just enough time between songs to run over to the booth, take photos with guests and family and run right back without missing a beat.

With her enthusiasm and a great crowd, the photo booth was pumping out great pictures for four hours straight. It’s amazing how fast time flies when you are having fun.

We had the pleasure of working at a really fun engagement party at the Sanctuary Resort this New Year’s Eve. The very lovely affair was coordinated by Jen Thye of Imoni Events. Without giving away too many of the details, it was beautiful and it was a lot of fun!  The perfect New Year’s Eve party.

And what makes a New Year’s Eve party even more perfect? But of course… The Live Photo Booth.

The bride and groom-to-be are such a beautiful couple, extremely photogenic – but I will allow them to remain anonymous and just feature a few of their very festive party guests.

This holiday party at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch was so much fun – I wish I was a guest! They went all out with family entertainment – cookie decorating, kids crafts, a kid size buffet line, Wii competitions, dancing, Santa, games, you name it, they had it covered, including The Live Photo Booth! I believe there were about 450 people in attendance and I think every single one of them passed through The Booth at least once! This holiday party was the culmination of a very busy Live Photo Booth weekend – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – and two more to go this week!

Whew…

Another group that made a wise choice and had The Live Photo Booth at their holiday party! The Business and Professional Women/AZ recently had their holiday party in Scottsdale and the women were so much fun to be around!

The BPW is such a great organization – talk about a group that helps women! It brings tears to my eyes all the good that they do in so many ways! Kudos ladies.

A Tuesday wedding, what a perfect idea for Thanksgiving week – all the family is in town!

The Live Photo Booth arm of Keith Pitts Photography had a lot of fun {as we always do} with the wedding guests at this intimate, outdoor wedding in Queen Creek. I don’t know what it is about a few props, a backdrop and a camera, but the combination really lends itself to a good time had by all! This particular photo booth had visitors that ranged in age from toddler to grandparents – and everyone really enjoyed themselves!

Last week, The Live Photo Booth arm of Keith Pitts Photography had the good fortune of being part of a really fun Golf Event at the Superstition Mountain Country Club. As always, the photo booth was a huge hit! These ladies know how to have a good time. Laughing and fun seemed to be the theme of the night!

Hats off to The Superstition Mountain Events Manager Tracy Elliott – a great night was had by all!

The traditional photobooth is a charming, nostalgic idea but limits the guest interaction.  Unlike traditional photobooths, the live photobooth allows for large groups & families to fit into one picture and it can be set up just about anywhere!  The more traditional photobooth people are all jammed into a booth, the crowd can’t see what is going on inside.  With this live setup, the booth actually becomes part of the entertainment.  Even the wallflowers will bloom! instead of receiving a strip of pictures, guests will receive cover-quality images taken by a professional photographer.

This past weekend, The Live Photo Booth arm of Keith Pitts Photography had the good fortune of working at Encanterra Country Club for the first time. While Keith was photographing a lovely wedding at Sassi, myself, Brad and Jez were having a blast working with a really fun bride & groom, the greatest wedding planner in the valley (the one and only Victoria Canada) and a group of guests that were one laugh after another!

Halloween is such a great time of the year for a wedding – the weather is perfect here in Arizona – and you get to use fun props like these! The Live Photo Booth was just made for a fun crowd like this – everyone, including us, seemed to have a blast! I love the old fashioned photo booths – but they don’t hold a candle to this set up – large groups, lots of interaction, it’s like a live photo session, everyone can see what’s going on! The Live Photo Booth never fails – it is an instant hit!

Well it is certainly the time of year that being a photographer is just so much fun! Halloween brings out the kid in just about everyone – and fortunately for us as portrait photographers, we have access to some cool kids in great costumes!
